According to preliminary population statistics from Statistics Finland the number of immigrants has sharply declined compared to last year. Between January and November this year around 46,900 people moved to Finland from abroad which is nearly 13,000 fewer than during the same period in the previous year.
By the end of November 2025 Finland’s population stood at 5,656,394. The population increased by roughly 20,400 people with immigration being the main factor sustaining this growth.
There were slightly over 42,200 births while deaths exceeded births by almost 11,600.
