A stabbing took place on Monday evening in Ala-Malmi Park which is located in Helsinki according to a statement from the Helsinki Police. The victim sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical care.
Authorities received the emergency call reporting the incident at 8:03 p.m.
The suspect had fled the area but was apprehended by police around 9 p.m. The case is currently being treated as an attempted murder during the initial phase of the investigation.
